There is a question that lies at the heart of every true process of recalibration: Why am I here, in this specific set of circumstances, carrying this name and these particular traits?
Most astrological systems answer the “How.” How your personality is structured, how you interact with others, or how you react to stress. But to find authentic clarity, we need an answer to the “Why.”
Today, I am opening a new series of explorations dedicated to a perspective that has fundamentally shifted how I work and, more importantly, how I understand myself: Evolutionary Astrology, as structured through the method of Tom Jacobs (author of The Soul’s Journey).
Map vs. Itinerary
In Jacobs’ vision, the natal chart is not a mere snapshot of the sky at the moment of birth. It is, in essence, a document of intent. From this perspective, the soul does not “receive” a fate; it chooses a learning itinerary.
Every tension in your chart, every difficult aspect, or innate talent is part of a precise “agenda.” Your soul came here with a clear intention: to experience, to integrate, and ultimately, to evolve beyond mere survival patterns.
A Personal Note: The Missing Piece of the Puzzle
Throughout my years of study, I often felt that classical astrological interpretation, while accurate, left an empty space. I was missing the profound sense of “becoming.”
Encountering Tom Jacobs’ method was, for me, the moment the compass truly recalibrated. I understood that I am not just a product of the planets, but a conscious architect using their energies to fulfill an inner mission. It gave me the freedom to stop seeing “flaws” as manufacturing errors and start seeing them as necessary coursework for my evolution.
This perspective helped me move from being a curious observer of my life to becoming an active partner to my own soul.
An Invitation to Depth
In the following articles, we will explore the pillars of this method together: the transformative power of Pluto and the evolutionary direction of the Lunar Nodes.
If you are in a period of transition, I invite you to look at astrology not as a way to find out what will happen to you, but as a language through which you can understand what your soul wants to learn from everything you are experiencing.
